• The Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes publishes the final list of beneficiaries of the SERÉ 2025 grants
• Over 75% of the grants are dedicated to preparing the competitive examinations for the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers
The Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes published the final list of beneficiaries of the SERÉ 2025 Grants, which have reached a record figure of 1,290 people, with an investment of over 15 million euros.
Out of the total of beneficiaries, 1,074 grants shall be dedicated to preparing the competitive examinations for the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers, 174 for the Corps of Lawyers of the Justice Administration and 42 for the Corps of Government Attorneys.
As for the distribution by gender, 78.3% of the grants were awarded to women and 21.5% to men. Regarding the age ranges, 43.6% of the beneficiaries are under 25, 48.1% are aged between 26 and 35, 5.5% between 36 and 45, and 2.7% are over 45.
By Autonomous Communities, Andalucía concentrates 27.9% of the grants, the Community of Valencia 12.4%, and Madrid 10%, these being the regions with the highest number of beneficiaries.
Each grant provides financial aid of 12,000 euros a year, establishing a programme that, since it was set up in 2022, has multiplied its investment and the number of beneficiaries by ten, going from 243 grants and 1.6 million euros in the first edition, to the current 1,290 and over 15 million.
The programme also includes personalized academic support through the Center for Legal Studies, with active professionals in the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers, which reinforces the preparation of those candidates receiving the grant in a blended model of financial aid and in kind.
This call reinforces the Government’s commitment to equal opportunities and guarantees that merit and ability are the only criteria to access the most demanding corps of the Justice Administration. The SERÉ grants shall be equal to the Minimum Wage and shall be protected by law thanks to the draft Law to Expand and Reinforce the Judicial and Prosecutor Careers, currently in progress in Congress, which establishes the structural nature of the programme and sets the minimum amount of aid.
