Ministry of Justice

The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, convened the Justice Administration Sectoral Conference for 22 December. This is the body for cooperation between the State and the Autonomous Communities with devolved powers in this area.

The main objective of the meeting is to evaluate the third and final implementation phase of the Law of Efficiency of Justice, planned for 31 December. The regulation shall make this service more agile, flexible, nearer and digital, modernizing a judicial organization designed in the 19th century.

In the Communities where the Ministry is responsible for Justice, everything is prepared for that date, and the expectation is that it shall be the same across practically the whole country. Nonetheless, at the meeting on the 22nd, if the Regional Ministers of the Communities with devolved powers request a brief extension to complete the third phase in a specific line, as contemplated by the Law itself, the Ministry shall assent.
