The Minister highlighted that 75% are women and that 10 were beneficiaries of the Seré Grants
Madrid, 17 December 2025 - The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, participated on Wednesday in the presentation of dispatches to the 63rd Promotion of the Prosecutor Career.
The event, held at the Official Medical Association of Madrid, was attended by HM the King, the President of the General Council of the Judiciary and the Supreme Court, Isabel Perelló, and the new State General Attorney, Teresa Peramato.
In his speech to the new prosecutors, Bolaños pointed out that it was a promotion made up of 76 people of which over 75% are women. A greater presence of females has become usual in recent years among those accessing public office, underlined the Minister.
10 beneficiaries of the Seré Grants are new prosecutors
Furthermore, he valued the fact that 13% of the promotion, 10 people, had been beneficiaries of the Seré Grants, promoted by the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes to prepare competitive examinations for the high corps of the Justice Administration. The Minister stated that in the previous promotion there had been only two, which shows that the grants are gradually fulfilling their objective of broadening opportunities.
In this sense, he mentioned that the final list of beneficiaries of the 2025 Seré Grants amounted to 1,290 people, 32% more than in 2024, and that the Government has invested 15.6 million euros in them, 95% more than the previous year. This endowment implies each candidate will receive 12,000 euros a year.
Bolaños recognized the effort and talent of the new promotion of prosecutors, and expressed the Government's support for their task of defending legality in relation to general interests and public service. He also remarked the work of the Center for Legal Studies for training the Justice civil servants.
