The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, attended on Thursday the inauguration ceremony of Teresa Peramato as State General Attorney, held at the Supreme Court Plenary Hall.
The act, presided by the President of the Court and of the General Council of the Judiciary, Isabel Perelló, was attended by members of the Supreme Court Government Chamber, as well as heads of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office and the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Madrid, Almudena Lastra and Pilar Rodríguez, respectively. To be sworn-in, Peramato chose as her sponsors María Ángeles Conde, Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, and the retired prosecutor, Félix Pantoja.
The Minister also attended the celebration that followed at the Prosecutor’s Office. In her speech, Peramato, who has a long history of fighting against male violence, reminded the attendees that Justice is not an abstraction, but a public service to be improved by us all. Attending the event were some of her predecessors in the office, such as Eduardo Torres Dulce, Dolores Delgado and Álvaro García Ortiz.
