The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, presided today the ceremony to present dispatches to the 47th internal promotion of the Corps of Lawyers of the Justice Administration, at the Center for Legal Studies.
This promotion is composed of 33 professionals, with an average age of 38, and it stands out for its territorial representation, with presence in eleven autonomous communities, and high female participation, reaching 67 percent.
During the event, Bolaños valued the effort made by the new lawyers to complete the particularly demanding selection process, which they have balanced with their professional work. He also highlighted the training received at the Center for Legal Studies, aimed both at technical-procedural knowledge and essential subjects for the future of the Public Service of Justice, such as inclusion, the fight against gender-based violence and digital efficiency.
The Minister also noted the role of the SERÉ grants to ensure equal opportunity of access to the higher corps of the Justice Administration. These grants, he pointed out, strive to avoid territorial origin or socioeconomic status from hindering access to highly competitive examinations.
Bolaños said the promotion is coming at a key moment in the modernization of the public service, marked by the implementation of the Law of Efficiency of the Public Service of Justice and the drive of the new Law of Criminal Procedure, currently being debated in parliament.
Both regulations are the pillars for the ongoing transformation, which requires the direct involvement of the Corps of Lawyers for its full development. The Minister reaffirmed his Ministry’s commitment to a permanent dialogue and institutional collaboration to strengthen the work of Justice in Spain.
