The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, met today with the Moroccan Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, at the Parcent Palace. The bilateral meeting occurred in the context of the High-Level Meeting between Spain and Morocco to be held on Thursday.
Bolaños and his Moroccan counterpart addressed the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed tomorrow to pool the technological, legal and organizational potential of both countries to request and receive mutual legal assistance electronically.
A Declaration of Understanding will also be signed to reinforce cooperation between the State Agency of the Official State Gazette and the Official Press of Morocco, in order to share information and experience to improve the digital production and distribution of legal texts.
Aside from Abdellatif Ouahbi, on behalf of the Moroccan government were the Director for Criminal Affairs, Pardons and Crime Detection, Hicham Mellati, and the Moroccan liaison magistrate to the Spanish judicial authorities, Nadia El Yousfi.
